Francis Sant were commissioned to find a sustainable drainage solution (SUDs) for the proposed new housing development in Tycroes, Carmarthenshire. Due to the poor soil conditions infiltration was not possible, therefore, to avoid an increase in the rainfall runoff rate with the potential risk of flooding the surface water was designed to drain into a nearby watercourse via an attenuation system.
